General Information
Identification is based upon fingerprint biometric recognition. Each unit is equipped with a durable fingerprint sensor that scans a user's fingerprint and records the date & time of this event. An LCD (liquid crystal display) provides user feedback. All information, biometric data and decision-making capabilities reside locally on the unit - a powerful feature that allows for stand-alone operation when communication and power supply is unavailable. Doors remain secure and will continue to operate even if all communications to the main computer are lost or in case of a power failure.

| General Information
Like most of its competitors, the iPB6 can operate in extreme temperature conditions, but what is most important in the South African climate is the ability to deal with massive temperature fluctuations in one day - typically in a Highveld winter, temperatures can range as much as 20°C in a 24 hour period. The iPB6 is capable of withstanding these drastic changes better than any other reader - simply because the iPB6 was made in South Africa, for South African conditions.
Most biometric readers' weakest point is their sensor, but the iPB6 uses the highly specialised optical sensor provided by SecuGen, a USA based company. The SecuGen sensor is well-known for its ruggedness and solid engineering, as well as its virtually indestructible sensor prism, which is made of a very hard quartz-like material that resists scratches, stress and corrosion.

General Information
A battery back-up provides the reader with all the power it needs to perform and record daily clockings. The externally accessible power port allows for easy recharging. Clocking details can be downloaded onto a computer or laptop using a network or serial/USB cable. We also have a wireless option that can export transaction records via GSM or Wi-Fi. These records can then be reviewed, edited, printed or exported directly into the organizations payroll package.
