Launched in 2012 in the iPB6 Enterprise reader, iPulse proudly shipped the 5,000th device based on the iPBx board in the form of an iPB7 Identity reader. Whilst the iDU5 never reached more than 3,000 devices, and the iPB6 took 21 months to reach 1,000 units, the iPB7, based on the same core architecture as the iPB6, reached 1,000 units in 7 months from release, 1,500 within a year, and has now topped over 3,500 units delivered since its launch in April 2014.

Andre Nel has joined iPulse Systems, both as a shareholder, and director. In addition to joining the iPulse South Africa board of directors, Andre has taken on the role of President of iPulse Systems Inc, the US-based operation of iPulse Systems International. Andre has significant experience in managing supply chain, procurement and logistics for large U.S. multinationals in the food and franchising sector. As a founding director of Digistics, Andre's primary focus was on the commercial aspects of running a business such as strategy development, contract negotiations and network design. "Andre brings excellent skills and diversity to our team, and is a fantastic asset to iPulse, both in South Africa, and particularly in the US operation, where he will be heading up the company's growth and expansion in the region", says Gary Chalmers, CEO of iPulse Systems International.
